I’m Billie Grizzly—a carpenter, programmer, and fabricator with a passion for creativity, coding, and community. I’m incredibly excited to share a project I’ve been dreaming about for years: DIY Retro Arcade Kits built to spark curiosity and make STEM education fun, hands-on, and inclusive.

This isn’t just about playing games—it’s about building them.

Introducing My DIY Arcade Kit Project

I’ve officially launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $9,000 to bring my vision to life: affordable, tool-free 1-player arcade cabinet kits that anyone—kids, teens, adults—can assemble, wire, and program themselves.

These kits include:

A retro-inspired mini arcade cabinet made of MDF (no tools needed!)

A Raspberry Pi single-board computer

Authentic arcade buttons, joystick, and a crisp LCD screen

A full manual (written by me and collaborators) with engaging, beginner-friendly instructions

Tutorials on basic coding, electronics, and game development

Designed for Neurodiverse Learners

As someone with Bipolar 1 and ADHD, I grew up thinking I couldn’t learn. It wasn’t until college that I realized I love learning—I just learn differently. This kit is designed for minds like mine.

Research shows that kids with ADHD and autism thrive in hands-on, hyper-focused environments, especially when learning is tied to creativity and play. These arcade kits are a way to introduce math, coding, and electronics in a way that’s visual, tactile, and fun.
